Roche has signed an agreement to acquire 100 percent of Verum Diagnostica GmbH, based in Munich, Germany. Verum Diagnostica is a leading company in coagulation diagnostics with a focus on platelet function testing, the fastest growing field in the coagulation market. With the acquisition, Roche will be able to provide a comprehensive coagulation portfolio, ranging from self-monitoring applications to the high efficiency demands of hospital and commercial laboratories. The deal will help Roche gain further market share in the coagulation segment and thus further strengthen its leading position in the clinical diagnostic market.
