- • On May 31, 2017, MeiraGTx announced the opening of their operations in Leiden, the Netherlands. MeiraGTx has established a European technology development hub at the Leiden Bio Science Park to support its efforts in advancing gene therapy technologies and working with its European partners to advance the gene therapy sector. The Leiden Bio Science park is the leading life sciences cluster in the Netherlands and in the top five of the most successful science parks in Europe. The park comprises 110 hectares (272 acres) with over 60 companies and knowledge-based institutions. The park is located mostly in Leiden and lies between Wassenaarseweg on the north and the Plesmanlaan on the south.
