* On May 19, 2015, Poxel, a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative drugs to treat type 2 diabetes, announced that Noah D. Beerman has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Business Development and President, US Operations to spearhead Poxel’s expanding presence into the USA. Mr. Beerman will be based in the Boston area, and is responsible for leading Poxel’s global business development efforts, and for continuing to build the Company’s relationships with the US financial community. Mr. Beerman has been an executive in the biopharmaceutical industry for more than 25 years and draws on both research and business development experience from his early career, beginning at Repligen, Sandoz, Curis, and Technology Management & Funding. It was at Indevus Pharmaceuticals from 1997 to 2009, where he was responsible for multiple licensing, co-promotion and M&A agreements, that he established an industry-leading profile in corporate development as Chief Business Officer for the company. From 2009-2011, Mr. Beerman was President, CEO, and Director of RXI Pharmaceuticals (now Galena BioPharma), and until 2013 Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Coronado Biosciences. Most recently he has served as an executive consultant in the biopharmaceutical industry, and Director on the Board of Trasir Therapeutics. Mr. Beerman holds an MBA from Northeastern University’s High Technology Program and a Bachelors of Science in molecular genetics from the University of Rochester.
